Description
Okay, so one of the side affects of being obsessed with something at the same time as someone you spend 24 hours of the day with is that you develop this ridiculous, complex sub-fandom that exists only between the two of you. This is a part of that.
We imagine that, once it starts getting cold, some switch just flips in all the captains and first mates that causes them to become inseparable and unimaginably clingy. It's a survival instinct to prepare for hibernation and...mating (lololol 'first mating' lololol! XD) Anyhoo, that is 'the season'...
It looks a little something like this.

Fun times...though I feel I didn't do Daddy WB justice (hurhurhur, how ironic) in his proportions, we pick ourselves up and stumble on. XD

You portrayed in such a lovley way the captain/deputy relationship, showing how close and special is their bond... I think that this feeling of "possession" it's quite evident in a metaphorical sense. Their spiritual connection is so deep and so strong that you can't explain it in other words... furthermore, the captain usually chooses his mates (we have seen it with Luffy and Zoro, Roger and Silver... and also with Shanks and Yasopp! So, I presume that he had chosen like that even Ben) , and for the first one it's always...I don't know, some kind of priviledge?
Anyway, I love those hugs.
Each one is different and, despite their roles are quite the same, expresses the own features of the characters. In particular, the one between Shanks and Beckman is my favourite!!! Awww, it's so passionate, so incredibly spontaneous and the pose looks so dynamic! I love the way how Beckman's falling, resigned to his captain's (adorable) madness! xD Equally joyful and passionate between Rufy and Zoro (the poor guy is going half-deaf, probably, I guess ) and so sweet and fatherlike (obviously) between WhiteBeard and Marco! I'm so incredibly sorry for Rayleigh and Silver ç___ç But their chibis are so adorable, and their bond will survive to everything, even death!
